Chad Cargill is the founder of Cargill Consulting and one of the nation’s most experienced ACT prep experts.
As a high school freshman, Chad realized that a high ACT score was his ticket to college scholarships and to his dream school, Oklahoma State University.
Where It Started
What began as Chad returning to his old high school to share what he had learned quickly grew into something much bigger. Students’ scores soared, word spread, and soon schools across the country were inviting him to speak.
Now in his 35th year of teaching this workshop, Chad has personally taught more than 200,000 students nationwide. He continues to travel throughout the school year, helping students reach their score goals and earn life-changing scholarships.
Chad and his wife Shellie are the proud parents of eight children: Camden, Cayce, Creed, Clarity, Cai, Carli, Crosby, and Cat.
Creed and Clarity were adopted from the Democratic Republic of Congo; Cai, Carli, and Crosby from Uganda; and Cat through frozen embryo adoption (EmbryoDonation.org).
Chad is deeply passionate about adoption, orphan care, and missions both at home and abroad. He loves spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Penny has been with Cargill Consulting since 2004–22 years. She oversees all business operations, coordinates with schools, manages logistics, and ensures every student has a seamless experience.

Shane graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Management Information Systems and joined Cargill Consulting in 2006 20 years ago.
While Chad teaches the strategies and Penny handles operations, Shane manages the technology infrastructure that makes everything possible. He oversees the website, online academy platform, workshop scheduling systems, student dashboards, and all the backend systems that allow us to reach and serve thousands of students.
In the early days, Chad gave workshops one school at a time. To scale impact, the organization needed to build technology that could reach students beyond what physical workshops alone could do. Shane was instrumental in building the online academy a platform that lets students learn at their own pace, with video lessons, practice tests, progress tracking, and community support.
